The National 9:30 Club

Stayed out super late last night picking apples and watching The National, standing inside an empty tuxedo at the punch table swallowing punch. We expected something, something better than before.

The National - Live at the 9:30 Club (NPR Stream)

Since they don't play too much old stuff anymore live, please to enjoy a few dance hall classics from their self titled debut (2001) and Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers (2003):

The National - 29 Years
The National - Thirsty

The National Drop Additional Heat

Although The National released Boxer yesterday, they also saved a few knockout tracks for the UK-only Mistaken for Strangers single. Luckily, Butter Team is a global entity so we acquired said single and report that "Blank Slate" and "Santa Clara" are dope. You could even argue that both are good enough to be included on Boxer but that's b-sides the point.
