We've uncovered the Air Wolf consipiracy and established connections between McGruber MacGuyver and Chuck Norris; now it's time to figure out what role, if any, Bmore-based Adventure's 8-bit synth compositions play in our earliest console memories. The clues are hidden inside this BT bootleg video of "Battle Cat" - if you're the first to name all 38 'tendo games in the comments section, in order, Benny will send you an autographed copy of his new self-titled debut. Bmore Round Robin Recap

Future Islands feat. Vic from Beach House (below), Mortal Kombat monologues, Adventure(s) with Mark Brown's lid-popping animation, Double Dagger feat. Blue Leader/Ed Schrader, Nuclear Power Pants in green shark skulls, Wham City theatrics and plenty of raw, unfiltered BO - it was like Whartscape with AC, bouncers and $7 Stellas.



Probably the best act I hadn't seen before was Denny from Smart Growth, who has transformed his sets lately from drumming over Phil Collins needle drops to rocking the crowd Girl Talk style; no mike, just a Mac and dirty South choruses extruded through Capcom rainbows.

Props to Dan Deacon and everyone supporting this tour - while there must be many challenges to coordinating 16+ dates with 20+ artists and sleeping on different floors for almost three weeks, you'd never know. This weekend (which sold out and spawned additional late shows each night) ran flawlessly, with a new artist and their A/V accompaniment kicking in seconds after the previous song finished on another stage.



Hopefully this becomes an annual tour and Baltimore is actually be on the schedule next time (failing that, maybe a local remake of Footloose?), and hopefully other artists can take a lesson on ego-free citywide collaboration.

BT Adventures Pt 2: McGyver/Norris Power Medley

Last week our investigatory journalism uncovered a mysterious connection between 80s copter action drama Air Wolf and rising Bmore MIDI star Adventure. Understandably, I think that freaked a lot of you out. Well what's weird is that Addy's "Ultra Zone" also matches perfectly with the motivational McGyver/Norris Power Medley I usually watch during lunch to get a nice midday boost.



WTF is going on here? I'm scared and excited, like when MGM recently announced it was remaking Red Dawn(!)

Have you noticed "Ultra Zone" synching up with any of your daily activities? P.S. Did you see the look on McG's face when he ran into that snake? Snap!

BT Adventures Pt 1: Air Wolf

I began this Friday morning with the usual pre-work routine: eating a bowl of chocolate frosted sugar bombs n' watching episodes of 80s helicopter action series Air Wolf on mute whilst blasting Bmore MIDI tunes from Adventure. But today something strange happened: perfect harmony.



Holy crap right? That is definitely not the theme song for Air Wolf. That is the super rad Go! Team wet dream known as "Ultra Zone," the lead single from Addy's debut album out later this month via Carpark (you will have a chance to win a copy next week). Your head is still probably spinning with questions; let's try to answer a few:

I read a pamphlet at Red Emma's about an alleged underground conspiracy linking Air Wolf and Wham City artists, is this true?
Undoubtedly, but we can't discuss that here. We originally exposed this in connection with Lesser Gonzalez last December, and while mainstream media didn't pick up on it the rumors have only grown stronger since. As blog pressure continues, one day they will have to face up to it.

Where can I learn more about Adventure?

Ernest Borgnine looked so young and vibrant in Air Wolf, and yet that was 25 years ago. What's his secret?
Let's just say he's a staunch advocate of roughing up the suspect regularly.

Butter Team Weekend Beats Vol. 25

When Girl Talk fans who downloaded Feed the Animals for free make unauthorized mashup videos of Girl Talk mashups, what happens? Is that like when Diet Sundrop tried to sue Sundrop for taste infringement?

Word is there will even be a couple Bmore elementary school janitors on site Sunday night for when things get sick, they got that special sawdust.
