Hushed sotte voce vocals will drift under stabbing vintage synths, and whilst enjoying "Fingers of Steel" - a song about crushing on a robot - we shall collectively relish Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo's feathery production touch.

Yes, it's awesome that the Lost in Translation soundtrack includes Jesus and Mary Chain, MBV and Air, but the lesser known gems are what made it a classic.
Singer/songwriter/instrumentalist Sébastien Tellier was mostly unknown outside of France and American Appys before last year, but Sofia Coppola wisely included "Fantino" - the sound of chemical imbalances on a cold Sunday afternoon - from his 2001 debut L'incroyable Vérité.

Et quand Sebastian Tellier "Divine" a été annoncé comme entrée de la France dans le concours de cette année d'Eurovision le gouvernement français obtenu ont pissé et l'aspect de Tellier d'appel "inconstitutionnel." And when Sebastian Tellier's "Divine" was announced as France's entry in this year's Eurovision contest the French government got pissed and call Tellier's appearance "unconstitutional."
